Arbitration
Many contracts specify arbitration as the means for settling disputes. Arbitration has a number of advantages compared to judicial proceedings: faster, confidentiality is not a problem, and in an international dispute an arbitral award is usually much easier to enforce. If you are involved in a contractual dispute, chances are that you will have to present your case in front of one or more arbitrators.
We can take care of the entire arbitration procedure for companies and engineers who find themselves involved in arbitral proceedings. We can also act as arbitrator in such proceedings, appointed by one of the parties or by all parties together. As arbitrator we have the added advantage that a conflict-of-interest situation is unlikely to arise, due to the small size of our company and the limited number of clients we represent.
We are a member of the London Court of International Arbitration and the German Maritime Arbitration Association, but we also handle ad-hoc proceedings or proceedings from other organizations such as e.g. the International Chamber of Commerce or CEPANI.
